Le projet Poly-Spam de Cristina De Middel s’intéresse au phénomène du spam, ces courriels qui font irruption dans le quotidien de tout un chacun. La photographe recrée en effet les décors et circonstances narrées dans ces messages et propose sa vision du spam. Poly-Spam est une façon intéressante de traiter la question de cet intrus électronique du quotidien, d’en humaniser les personnages, et de visualiser l’émotion que son instigateur souhaite provoquer à des fins de recel.
The project Poly-Spam by Christina De Middel is interested in the spam phenomenon, these emails that intrude on everybody's daily lives. Christina De Middel recreates the setting and situation narrated in these messages and proposes her vision of spam. Poly-Spam is an interesting way to question this daily electronic intruder, to humanize its characters, and to visualize the emotion its instigator hopes to provoke with the aim of dispossessing the recipients.
