International competitions

The juries choose in June 2009 the projects of the 5th Vevey European First Film Awards and the 7th Vevey International Photo Awards.
These competitions are part of Images’, the Festival of visual arts held in Vevey, Switzerland, and have attracted more than 1000 photographic projects and more than 100 film projects. A success for the competitions and proof that the Vevey Awards have earned a wide-spread reputation! The result will be shown in preview in September 2010.

The photo’s jury included the following figures:

Malick Sidibé (President, photographer) Todd Brandow, (Director of the Foundation for the Exhibition of Photography, Minneapolis/Paris), Monika Faber (Curator of photography, Albertina Museum, Vienne), Geert Goiris, (Artist and laureat of the of the 2008 Vevey Photo Awards, Anvers), Annette Kulenkampff (Director of Hatje Cantz Edition, Stuttgart-Ostfildern), Stefano Stoll (Director of the festival Images’, Vevey).

The films’ jury included the following figures:

Fulvio Bernasconi (Director), Heinz Dill (Producer-Louise Productions), Kirsi Kinnunen (Former manager of the Tampere Film Festival), Sophie Sallin (web-manager Moncinema.ch, TSR), Éric Wójcik (Committee of the Clermont Ferrand Short Film festival)
