A Carte Blanche was given to Ante Timmermans to exhibit in the attic at the Jenisch Museum, an atypical, fairy-tale space which is usually closed to the public. Timmermans presents a project based on the notions of inwardness and scarcity and the exhibition will also feature his archives. The display reveals to visitors the artist’s secret world of drawings, videos, installations and lectures. He and a Belgian musician also dreamed up a visual and sonic piece, accompanied by a soundscape combining sounds of firework explosions and trumpets.
As part of this exhibition, the Musée Jenisch presents Before, After, the Last (2012) video-performance by Anne Rochat, film by Jean Otth.
Curator : Julie Enckell Julliard
