To mark the occasion of this 2012 edition, Festival Images and ECAL, Lausanne’s cantonal school of contemporary art, asked third year students studying a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial design to come up with the layout of the Ex-EPA’s reception area. Echafaudages was selected for its innovative and conception qualities. The three winning students decided to use scaffolding in reference to future renovations of the building, set to begin once the Festival is over. The preparatory stages of this refurbishment have already begun.
