N° 25
This work was born from Werning’s curiosity as she looked at souvenir photos at friends’ houses. She wondered what the subject would look like if today they were placed in the exact same context and in the same pose as in the original photograph. The results are often comical and surprisingly precise, while giving rise to nostalgia. The pictures in which backgrounds are painstakingly reproduced and only the faces have aged, create a disturbance in the space-time continuum and gives the illusion of a return to childhood or a projection towards the future.
