In this series, Kent Rogowski uses pieces from more than 60 different puzzles to create hybrid landscapes. The manufacturers of a same brand of jigsaw uses always the same cutting patterns, allowing the artist to combine the themes from these aesthetic brain teasers. By reconstituting these prints, the idyllic nature of these initial images becomes blurry, giving way to a feeling of strangeness. The viewer discovers an unknown visual landscape in which the distinction between foreground and background has disappeared in favour of a composition that has become abstract.
