Kourtney Roy uses her body to question the way women are represented in photography and embodies various feminine stereotypes appearing in commercials and in the movies of the 1950s and 1960s. These “ideal women” are all taken in front of the same photographic background and the use of this decor accentuates these traditional models of femininity. The pictures are randomly presented on billboards and appear as a stark contrast to the image of women in today’s advertising.
