Hiding in the City

This chameleon-like artist who melts into his photographs’ backgrounds takes over the streets of Vevey with some 10 very large format images taken from his Hiding in the City series. With his camouflage, he attempts to render visible the invisible and to raise awareness about how advertising or political propaganda can lead to social phenomena such as visual oppression. Keep an eye out to see whether the artist melts into one of the postcard backdrops of the Swiss Riviera during the Festival!
The “Journées photographiques de Bienne” is featuring other images of the same series, comprising 11 original prints of Liu Bolin’s performances shot in China www.jouph.ch
