Sometimes spectre of stories stay within us and, without knowing why, remain important. This is what happened to Marie-Elsa Sgualdo who last year discovered the work of Spanish film director José Luis Guerin, inspiring her to get in touch with him. “I thought I would send him a letter written as a work of fiction about myself so as to try and capture what had moved me in his films. […] I set out to give life to what I call rumours, without forcing myself to always tell the truth”.
*We can’t do everything at once, but we can give up everything in one go.
