Taking inspiration from portraits shot in a studio using a light background to bring out the features of the subjects’ faces, Myoung Ho Lee applies this principle to his work, with a surprising twist. He takes snapshots of trees in their natural environment, but only once he has set them against a white textile background immediately behind them. This series, which questions our relationship with the environment, is presented outdoors in a natural setting.
