The davel 14 gallery has grouped together under the title Paysage two series belonging to Olivier Christinat so as to evoke the notion of landscapes as something that is seen and experienced. His photographs of Japanese cities are offset against the mountain views that are visible from the Vaudois Riviera. For instance in the commune of Bourg-en Lavaux, the walls are covered with giant portraits of Japanese women and these intrusive images of someone else looking here, create an unexpected face-to face experience.
