In this series, Robert Brodmann immerses himself in the world of body piercing, a practice that today has left the underground to become a fashion phenomenon. Using Mario’s body piercing shop in the centre of Vevey as his base, Brodmann sets out to meet men and women with such bodily decorations. He shoots in black and white to capture the aesthetic subtleties of this art and chooses a dark backdrop to bring out the intimate aspect of this phenomenon.
