Vies possibles et imaginaires challenges us to look back at family photos with a new eye - one which looks at the pictures’ poetic and narrative possibilities. The two artists based their work on four sisters who are part Palestinian/part Lebanese and who, while experiencing some historical events in the 20th century, ended up exiled in different parts of the world. This is half a documentary, half a fiction that, rather than revealing the women’s history, writes vividly in the present what can only be called a legend.
