A new reception area for the 2012 Festival Images

As the next edition of the Images Festival in Vevey is approaching, various projects are emerging. The latest is the result of collaboration between the Festival Images and the ECAL / University of Art and Design Lausanne.
Third year students in Industrial Design Bachelor of ECAL were asked to rethink the reception area of the building of the Ex-EPA in Vevey, this former shopping center that had welcomed some 18,000 visitors over three weeks in September 2010. This building has more than 6000 m2 exhibition of photography and videos on six floors. The ECAL students have designed the entrance to this temporary museum under the direction of the designer Adrien Rovero.
The project had to be functional, innovative and achievable as it will be produced for the next edition of Images.
The winning project - "Echaffaudages" by Mathieu Girel, Lucien and Clara Peyrot Gumy - perfectly meets the expectations of the organizers. Impressed by the quality of the work presented and the enthusiasm of students, the Festival Images rewarded three additional projects: "Hang It All", "In Situ" "and" Brut de décoffrage " .
The Festival Images is looking forward to welcoming you from September 8 to 30 in this area and thank the management, teachers and students of the Exhibit Design course of the ECAL for their outstanding work and commitment on this project.
