Vevey International Photo Award
If the Festival Images takes place the even years, the Fondation Vevey ville d’images allocated every other year creation support grants of more than CHF 70’000 for photographic projects; the Vevey International Photography Award is one of the biggest and oldest prize in Europe : CHF 40’000.- (38’000 €).
It attracts more than 800 candidates from the whole world for each of its editions. The winning projects are exhibited at the Festival Images the year after.
American artist James Casebere will preside the jury 2015/2016 composed of :
Julien Frydman, director of Development at Foundation Luma Arles (France),
Marta Gili, director of the Jeu de Paume, Paris (France),
Kira Pollack, director of photography at TIME, New York (USA),
and Ramón Reverté, editor-in-chief of Editorial RM, Mexico.
End of May, the jury will choose the project that will be realised within the following year and previewed at the next Festival Images in September 2016.
