Founded in 2014, Collectif Quinze is an association that groups several young photographers living in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, the majority of whom is still studying photography at the CEPV (Centre d’enseignement professionnel de Vevey).
For this Festival Images, Collectif Quinze takes over the studio of a Vevey artist to develop and present a project with noise as the theme, a notion used in photography to describe the presence of information that is interfering in an image. To investigate this question, the collective turned to another ‘art of noise’: music. With these theories as the starting point, NOISE explores the relationships held between photography and other mediums by trying to enter them into communication and to play with the idea of visual interference.
