Oskar Kokoschka dans l’objectif du photographe
Born in Copenhagen in 1935, as a photographer Erling Mandelmann has produced portraits of over 500 celebrities including Maurice Béjart, Georges Brassens, Charlie Chaplin and Audrey Hepburn. The series Oskar Kokoschka dans l’objectif du photographe is a set of shots that Erling Mandelmann took of the Austrian artist Oskar Kokoschka over the last twenty-five years of his life in Villeneuve. These portraits where the artist is seen working at home, or proudly posing in his garden, divulge the complicity between the two men.
