Thomas Van Den Driessche

How to be a Photographer in 4 Lessons

Born in Louvain in 1979, Thomas Van Den Driessche is a photographer and a member of the collective Out of Focus. At the start of 2012, he discovered a photo booth not far from him, in Brussels. He uses the device to narrate, through these renowned strips of four images, stories about the world of photography, his playground for several years. The Belgian artist dispenses his lessons with humour and irony revealing stereotypes and the trajectory of certain artistic trends. How to be a Photographer in 4 Lessons is presented by Festival Images in its reception, thus humorously conceptualising the great diversity of the different approaches in photography.
