Launch of the book Aletsch Negative by Laurence Bonvin at the Library & Shop of Images.
The Aletsch glacier is the largest glacier in the Alps. Glaciologists predict that by the end of this century most glaciers in the Alps will have completely disappeared and only bits of Aletsch will remain. With Aletsch Negative Laurence Bonvin proposes an intimate, sensory photographic experience that addresses and questions our perception of colour, scales of space and time, as well as our relationship with the icy giant and its future, so intertwined with our own. Journey to the heart of the glacier.
The book also offers a transversal approach with different texts that both intersect and illuminate different perspectives on the subject: glaciology, feminism, landscape photography, and science fiction.
