Thomas Kaufhold & Michael LapuksGermany (1957 & 1961)
Inspired by their worldwide travels, the two photographers each offer their own perspective on restaurants around the world. With the eye of a sculptor, Thomas Kaufhold uses his camera by triggering it spontaneously. He then assembles the pictures into wall installations that attract the attention of visitors to the temporary nature of our societies. Michael Lapuks’ photographic work falls within the graphic arts. He treats his images like self-standing tableaux, composing them like contemporary still-lives that express the daily life of big cities.
