Lucia Nimcova habitually stores away her travel pictures that will not be included in a specific artistic project. With the Animal Imago series, the photographer was looking for an unusual way to communicate with her young deaf son. She collated a book of photos of animals shown in unexpected ways. Awarded the Special Jury Prize by the Grand Prix Images Vevey 2013/2014, at Festival Images her work showed an improbable bestiary displayed in a fun and interactive scenography especially con-ceived like a kindergarten for the younger visitors.
