Images Vevey contributes to the promotion of visual arts and the cultural development of the region by bringing to life the ‘Vevey City of Images’ brand through three core activities: Switzerland’s main visual arts biennale Festival Images Vevey, the international photography competition Grand Prix Images Vevey, and the permanent gallery for contemporary photography Espace Images Vevey.
Festival Images takes place in even years but Images Vevey also allocates support grants of more than EUR 40,000 for photographic projects every other year. Applications to the Grand Prix Images Vevey and Images Vevey Book Award are now open until February 28, 2019.
Around the theme Extravaganza. Out of the ordinary, the visitor discovered more than sixty free projects presented indoors and outdoors, sometimes in monumental format, as well as the works created thanks to the Grand Prix Images Vevey 2017/2
Espace Images was opened in January 2010 with the aim of showcasing this extremely rich visual heritage and making it accessible to everyone.
