Artificialisation du terroir
Artificialisation du terroir
Currently a Bachelor student in Photography at ECAL/Ecole Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne, Adrien Sgandurra offers a surprising vision of winemaking, far from the usual romantic clichés. Research in genetics now makes it possible to create more resistant hybrid varieties with many oenological qualities. In parallel, the increasing use of spreading drones or cutting robots has a direct impact on winegrowers’ daily activities and on this highly traditional trade. Inspired by these technological evolutions, the Artificialisation du terroir series, presented in the Confrérie des Vignerons, explored what lays behind the scenes of the trade and the challenging future of viticulture.
