Alberto Giuliani followed the path of the many journalists, judges, artists and politicians who try to shed some light on the acts and operations of the Italian mafia. He even ventured into the tentacular organization, reporting on its international ramifications, the police infiltration attempts or the mourning mothers and spouses. Awarded the Leica Prize – Reportage by the Grand Prix Images Vevey 2009/2010, the Married to the Mob series was presented in large format on high palisades, in recollection of the impenetrable character of the camorra, while the harshest scenes could be viewed through peepholes.
