Le Gardien de l’ennui
For Festival Images, Ante Timmermans was given carte blanche to take over the attic of the Musée Jenisch Vevey, usually not accessible to the public. The artist conceived his project around the notions of interiority and rarity, based on his personal archives. His Le Gardien de l’ennui exhibition presented the secret world of the artist, showing his drawings, videos, installations, archives and readings. He joined forces with musician Bart Maris to create a visual and acoustic piece displayed in the middle of the attic, accompanied by a performance combining the sounds of fireworks and trumpets.
