Still Lifes, Portraits and Parts

Daniel Gordon uses images found on the Internet that he then cuts, assembles and pastes together to create still lifes and portraits with an approach akin to that of Cézanne, Picasso or Man Ray. Once he has photographed them, he retrieves the material used to produce new compositions. Exhibited in Vevey, where second-hand dealers and those interested in giving objects a second life convene, his Still Lifes, Portraits and Parts series introduced viewers to a manual way to recycle digital images into analog photographic tableaux.
