700th anniversary of the Swiss Confederation
For Festival Images, Daniel Schlaepfer, restored the Boîtes magiques commissioned by the Canton of Vaud for the 700th anniversary of the Swiss Confederation in 1991. Visitors peeked through a slot to discover the highlights of the history of the Canton on dioramas made with the finest visual technologies of the time. These concrete structures were installed facing Lake Geneva, as an echo to the location of their original display twenty years previously around the lac des Quatre-Cantons.
