Un printemps à New York

Fred Lebain photographed the streets of New York, its cars and its buildings. He printed his images in large format and, a few days later, returned to the location where he shot them to reintegrate them in their initial context and take another picture. Presented as part of the collective exhibition Passé recomposé, the Un printemps à New York series superimposed a reproduced image on the core of tangible reality thus opening a temporal window on the city and its inhabitants.
