Fascinated by the world of adolescence, Julia Fullerton-Batten tries to grasp the changes and problems affecting young girls at that stage of their life. For the Teenage Stories series, the photographer staged her models in miniature sets like giants in a world of Lilliputians, a troubling sight in this imaginary and ambiguous world. Exhibited outdoors near a Vevey school, her staged scenes poetically explore the complex transition from childhood to adulthood.
