The Pic-Me video installation by Marc Lee tracks and traces in real time on Google Earth the precise location of #me posts on Instagram. Anyone and everyone can follow the live feed of publications on a website, to the point where this a priori anodyne virtual stroll really starts to intrude into the private life of hundreds of millions of users. By re-appropriating the famous image-sharing platform, the digital artist makes visitors reflect on their digital self by calling attention to the traces they unknowingly leave behind on the Internet.
