Revelations

Marvin Leuvrey, a student at ECAL/Ecole cantonale d’art de Lausanne at that time, delivered a fantasy-inspired narrative by immersing images of bathers’ fragmented bodies into Lake Geneva. Whether using sand or lakeside waste, even acetone, paint or oil on his images, he integrates the water element in his artistic research. His Revelations series was specifically developed to adapt to unique scenography conceived in collaboration with Bachelor students in Industrial Design at ECAL. The installation presented in Vevey turned the lake into a huge revelator tray, inviting visitors to walk on the surface of the water on his enlarged photographs stretched on submerged platforms.
