Vacuum
Vacuum
At the crossroads of visual arts and dance, Vacuum is a video installation based on a recent creation by choreographer Philippe Saire, who pursues his explorations into the sensory perception of movement. Thanks to an optical illusion generated by two neon lights, the dancers’ bodies immersed in near-amniotic darkness play on apparition and disappearance to revisit the history of art, from the Renaissance painters to the processes of photographic development and Brancusi’s abstract sculptures.
