Fake Holidays

In his Fake Holidays series, Reiner Riedler depicts the drifts of the leisure society. Whether skiing in Dubai or relaxing on a beach in Berlin in winter, he renders such activities accessible to all thanks to a new generation of resorts that eludes weather constraints and any seasonal rationale. Presented in a park where Vevey residents like to bask as soon as the weather warms up, his series confronts viewers with incongruous situations showing the full paradox of globalization and mass tourism.
