Schützenstube

Roman Signer presented Schützenstube, a new piece conceived specifically for Festival Images. Viewers entered a cabin layered with targets used for mandatory military training in Switzerland. They found themselves in the sight line of potential shooters in a hypnotizing and unsettling space. Activated by the artist to deploy an explosive performance, this large-format installation completes the selection of Polaroids, videos and stills displayed in the SHOOT! – la photographie existentielle group show.
