Digging Up Clouds
Digging Up Clouds
Sjoerd Knibbeler tries to photograph what is not visible, more specifically space, aerodynamics, climate change and the wind. Pushing the physical limits of the medium, his conceptual approach establishes connections between astronomy, physics and space exploration. In Espace Images, his Digging Up Clouds installation presented, in particular, a giant studio-made vortex next to photographs of paper planes made according to the historical designs of flying objects that were never built.
