After the end of WW2, Walter Chandoha photographed thousands of cats. The Cat Photographer exhibition paid tribute to this pioneer of commercial animal photography whose career has been notably highlighted by The New York Times. A master in a long-discredited genre, Chandoha paved the way to the breaking wave of photomontages, memes and other GIFs of cats seen on social networks. Festival Images invited visitors to bring home an original poster to decorate their interior with an image by this legendary cat photographer.
