Between 2009 and 2013, Will Steacy had unlimited access to photograph the premises of The Philadelphia Inquirer at a time when this historical daily newspaper was struggling with growing financial problems, the withdrawal of advertisers and many layoffs. The photographer was even present when his own father was dismissed from his job at this newspaper. Presented at Espace Images, his Deadline series addressed the decline of the printed press, pointing at the human and political consequences of an information economy now dominated by new technologies.
