Chalet Rhapsody
Chalet Rhapsody
Taken from the book 50 Summers of Music published on the Montreux Jazz Festival’s 50th anniversary, the Chalet Rhapsody series by Yann Gross tells the Festival’s story through the incredible array of objects that Claude Nobs, founder of the famous event, collected over five decades. Legendary objects, such as a contract signed by Miles Davis, B.B. King’s guitar or an original recording of a Led Zeppelin show, were photographed like still lifes to form a true music lover’s museum dedicated to the memory of “Funky Claude” in an installation by Cyril Hatt , as part of the collective exhibition Hommage aux 50 ans du Montreux Jazz Festival.
