For the Biennale Images Vevey, Ella & Pitr devised a dozen interventions that are photographic by nature: These street artists designed giant studio backdrops and then pasted them on the facades of various buildings. Visitors were invited to take their own picture in front of these ‘walls’ and send it to the duo’s website. In this large-scale participatory project, the setting only became operational when the subject engaged and interacted with the monumental sheets of pasted paper scattered throughout Vevey.
