Day After Reading
During the 2016 race for the White House, Ludovic Balland traveled across the United States and interviewed American citizens about what they recalled from the news of the previous day. In times of abounding fake news, with people constantly suspicious of journalists, his photo-reportage combining portraits and quotes explored the ambiguous relationships between the American people and their media. His Day After Reading project, presented in poster format, evolved in real time over the course of the Festival with each stop along the photographer’s journey.
