Courir après la pluie
The Swiss Camera Museum presented the Courir après la pluie exhibition by Magali Koenig made in Russia and in the former Soviet republics. In the footsteps of Blaise Cendrars on the Trans-Siberian or of Anton Chekhov to the Island of Sakhalin, she traveled extensively in the former USSR countries for thirty years. Telling presence through absence, her deserted landscapes and empty interiors express the nostalgia of the Russian people for a bygone past, and for a much-hoped future, which did not necessarily deliver its promises.
