Matjaž Tančič offers an unprecedented insight into one of the most hermetic countries in the world with a series of 3D portraits made in North Korea using the anaglyph principle – a technique selected for the long exposures allowing the Slovenian photographer to feel closer to his subjects. Outdoors, on a square in the old town of Vevey, his 3DPRK installation recreated the setting of the demilitarized zone dividing North and South Korea, inviting visitors to watch the neighboring dictatorship from afar through stereoscopic glasses.
