Since the 1970s, Annelies Štrba has devoted her artistic work to documenting her daily life and her family. In 2020, the artist digitally reinterpreted her slide show created twenty years earlier, spanning four generations of her family. The sequence captures everyday life within the home and its surroundings over the years. It also interweaves views taken during Štrba’s travels and visits to sites marked by tragedy. By confronting personal memory with History, Shades of Time 2.0 offers a meditation on the passage of time, memory and the fragility of life.
