Inextricably linked to her own background, Claudia Ndebele’s project explores family ties, the diaspora, and memory. Born in Montreux to parents from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, she knew her country only through her relatives, stories, and the media before making her first trip there in 2022. Drawing on her personal journey, Un espace entre deux : cartographie d’un retour maps the fate of many families shaped by migration, whose cultural heritage lies between two countries.
