The Timeless Story of Moormerland is a family photo album that is as strange as it is timeless. In 2021, Elsa & Johanna travelled through some fifteen towns in northern Germany, staying in houses with a unique charm. As authors, directors, and subjects, the duo construct and inhabit a multitude of characters. Drawing inspiration from the typical compositions of family photography, the artists invite viewers to explore these images as one might delve nostalgically into the archives of past generations.
