When her brother was eventually born, the world o Karolina Wojtas, a 13-year-old only child, was suddenly turned upside down. Now a young adult, the Polish photographer draws on this childhood memory to chart the unique relationship she and her brother have shared ever since. Evoking the tactile feel of a children’s picture book, We can’t live – without each other takes the form of a chaotic, immersive installation. With honesty and a razor-sharp humour, Wojtas captures the reality of growing up together and highlight the complexity of sibling relationships.
