As a child, Kata Geibl rarely spoke. One day, her mother confronted her in frustration: “Why don’t you talk like any other person ?” The 12-year-old girl replied: “Instead of speaking, I have images in my head.” Geibl draws inspiration from this precise moment, conceptualizing scenes based on real-world events to produce, for the first time, AI-generated imagery. Her series explores how our relationships are shaped by memories and family dynamics. The installation reflects on the way we dream and communicate in the digital age. In a surprising twist of fate, Geibl ultimately finds in artificial intelligence a medium to resolve the communication gap of her childhood.
