With Impossible Étoile, Ange Leccia revisits a dance scene from Saturday Night Fever (1977). Through cropping, slow motion, and repetition, Leccia transforms Tony Manero’s movements into a whirlwind of sensuality. In place of the Bee Gees’ soundtrack, he substitutes Eartha Kitt’s track « Where Is My Man », creating a new narrative. The installation revives a symbol of popular culture to reveal the emotional power of the image. Leccia celebrates cinema, music, and dance—universal languages that bring people together.
