Welcome aboard your VMCV bus, transformed into a moving work of art, featuring poodles, Shibas, English cocker spaniels, and King Charles spaniels!f

The artist duo Mazaccio & Drowilal, in collaboration with Swiss graphic designer Nicolas Polli, created the design of this custom-built bus for the 10th edition of Biennale Images Vevey, whose theme is “We are family.”

The Dog’s Best Friend

Mazaccio & Drowilal playfully revisit the famous saying “The dog is man’s best friend” with a humorous series of dogs admiring sunsets. To begin with, the duo photographed a dozen dogs from a groomer in Chalon-sur-Saône in front of a blue background. The artists then created photomontages combining these portraits with photos of sunsets taken from calendars. The epitome of romantic imagery, these landscapes abound on the internet and awaken a familiar emotion in each of us. By appropriating these universal images and replacing humans with dogs, Mazaccio & Drowilal offer a quirky and affectionate perspective on the relationship between pets and their owners. This travelling installation will remain on view until 27 September 2026.
