Vevey, Lausanne et au-delà : une histoire des photographes de Jongh – Alexandra Schmidt
September 16, 2026 from 18:00
As part of the Images Vevey Biennale, Vibiscum – Association des amis du Vieux Vevey – presents a lecture dedicated to the de Jongh family, a true dynasty of photographers active in Vevey, Lausanne and far beyond.
Art historian and specialist in the history of photography in French-speaking Switzerland, Alexandra Schmidt will trace the paths of this family and their place in the development of photography in the 19th and 20th centuries.
Since 1989, Vibiscum has worked to promote and preserve the history and heritage of Vevey through its research, publications and lectures.
Join us on September 16 at 18:00 at the Salle du Conseil communal de Vevey. The lecture is open to the public and admission is free.
